India positions third globally for great research productions in artificial intelligence (AI). It is at a distance from world pioneer China, as indicated by an investigation by research organization Itihaasa, established by Kris Gopalakrishnan, previous CEO and prime supporter of Infosys. The agency registered the quantity of ‘citable records’— the number of research distributions in peep-tp-peer journals — in the field of AI between 2013-2017 as rattled off by Scimago, an abridgment that tracks inclines in logical research productions.

Researchers use synthetic biology to slow the ageing of yeast cells
A novel method has been developed by the University of California San Diego researchers using synthetic biology to slow down the deterioration of cells as they age. After studying the gene circuits that control the aging process in cells, they genetically rewired the circuit to operate as a clock-like device called a gene oscillator. The […]
Template: A New Molecular Binding Tool by Scripps
Recently, a week ago, the chemists at the Scripps Research Institute have developed a new molecular binding tool named as “Template” that makes binding modifications easy for the researchers. The tool is believed to overcome the enzyme limitation issues in synthesis of organic compounds in labs. The process can be initiated with use of a […]
Computers to Diagnose Cancer from Blood Sample
Researchers from University of California have developed a software that can detect cancer from a single blood sample. It can also identify the cancer type the patient is suffering from. The software is pre-equipped with database of tumor epigenetics. The molecular pattern of DNA from the blood sample of the cancer patient is analyzed against […]
